Re: January transfer window rumours.
There's lots of reports Ings is West Ham's highest earner on £150,000 a week. Based on that, is it really realistic? I'm not sure West Ham would help us out that much!

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Maatsen to Dortmund almost done according to Fabrizio Romano...thank goodness. We need to move on now, it was probably very unlikely to happen once he'd turned us down in the summer. Hopefully the club got the message from IM loud and clear - there are plenty of other decent left backs around that w...

Re: strange substitutions
Can Tresor play down the middle? For the last few weeks (first, when Foster wasn't available and more recently when Foster has run out of steam) I have been wanting Tresor on down the middle. It will allow him some freedom and he has the pace to at least trouble the defenders and make them wary of h...

He did ok but will always struggle in a midfield two playing this shape against PL opposition. He typically lost the ball on the edge of his own box in the first half - something he seems to have a tendency to do each time he plays. He doesn’t have the strength to play that role. I still think a mid...

I thought our two central defenders were outstanding tonight. I've not understood the criticism of O'Shea to be honest but I've been a big critic of Delcroix. I thought O'Shea was our man of the match with Delcroix not far behind him. O’Shea is often the master of his own downfall. He labours/ponde...

Re: January wishlist
I would rather we upgraded right back than got a new left back this window. Taylor is a very solid option at this level and can do a decent job for the second half of the season. A new right back would improve our side massively. However, we probably need a back up left back or need to start success...

Probably also worth commenting that there are actually better wingers than Manuel Benson out there. Same style of play, younger, better fitness and more ability - it’s up to the recruitment team to identify them.

You can only assume the option to buy will be based on Southampton winning promotion….in which case a fee like £20m won’t be an issue for them and will probably be money well spent if he helps get them promoted.

Must be another reason why VK gave him a contract extension! Good utility player and a good attitude. That’s not entirely true though is it? Yeah a few times in the first half Gakpo did him, again from some exquisite passes from TAA who is genuinely world class at it. Wouldn’t particularly call it ‘a shocker’ - Again, defending 1vs1 against a big, physical wideman in Gakpo, fairly high line with Odobert infront of him first half who did nothing to help. Good pod again this week on the “depressing” debrief. Desperate for two good full backs, a physically big centre half, a midfielder and a striker. Seems a lot but that’s a result of how incredibly unbalanced our summer window was.
