You can only assume the option to buy will be based on Southampton winning promotion….in which case a fee like £20m won’t be an issue for them and will probably be money well spent if he helps get them promoted.

He offered nothing as a winger last season at a lower level. Why on earth would you put him there this season? Probably the player with the least end product and worst ball retention.
