What happens if he doesn’t play in 75% of games? A good question. The only real remedy would be financial or termination so are we really expecting the board to have signed a contract where Trafford gets a bonus for not playing or is allowed to leave for cheap/free? There's no point just having the...

Also worth noting that if you sell a player you need to pay all outstanding fees on him. So if we signed Berge for £15m over 4 years we'd have paid £7.5m by the end of the next window with £7.5m to go. But if we sold him for £20m over 4 years we might only get £5m upfront but need to pay the remaini...

I’m not generally his biggest fan but thought he had an excellent game today. I haven’t seen the red card incident again so if he got it wrong then his marks might well have been lower than I’m giving. Even worse is that VAR encourages diving, because if you dive and in the process of doing so the opposition player makes the most minimal of contact, the VAR is likely to give the pen, and almost certain to if the on field ref already has.
Yep, you get a double chance of being rewarded.

Best case you get a penalty and the opposition get a player sent off. Worst case the ref waves play on.

There's no downside to diving and a considerable upside so it's no surprise that teams do it.
