On a similar note, I have recently read Johnny Crossan's autobiography "the man they couldn't ban" He tells of the injustices of growing up in Derry and how it affected his progress as a Footballer in Northern Ireland by being a Derry Man.

I remember Ralph sitting on the ball (and thinking it hilarious) in the Blackpool - Burnley game Feb. 1967 I was taken to see as a young lad. I recall him sat on the ball with Willie Morgan stood next him. I'm unsure though whether he was up to his antics or if there was a break in play.

With regards to the 3rd keeper.
We had a young lad, who played for the Scotland Youth team, called Matt Tyrie. He may well be the guy on the photo (?) but could well be before his time with us. CT may know......

Found this Manchester Utd v Burnley game which it says is 1965-66.Unfortunately a defeat but it’s 46 minutes of footage. https://youtu.be/3uIlHl1sq20 Good stuff....must be the 1966-67 season though as Kenneth Wolstenholme references Burnley's ICFC cup game with Stuttgart which was September 1966.

Callum Styles

His name cropped up on my on line newsfeed today. Apparently he is a 'hot prospect'. When I checked wiki p, it says he started his youth career with us then went to Bury and is currently with Barnsley.
I don't recall his name ever being mentioned on here but apologies if it has.

Thought the same watching it. Wouldn't have got away with that nowadays. Today, the striker would've been looking for the pen before the tackle ! I feel that side of the game had more honesty about it then.

Just checked it out. It was called "6 days to Saturday" and is on YouTube.
Set in 1963. Bert Head was the Manager. It features a young Don Rogers.
A good watch for those who like a bit of nostalgia.

One of my favourites was DT.
Went on to great things with QPR and Everton. Made Bob Latchford at Everton, supplying him with all those crosses from the wing.
