We should have moved on, player wise, when SA left; the fact that we haven't says much as to why he would have got games here this season. He would, however, have made little difference to things this season, imo.

It's the old story isn't it? - Entertainment v. Results. Fans are quite happy to watch when the tactics are dull but we get the right result (it's been the case here, in the main, for some time) but once the results aren't going our way, it's only natural that some fans become anxious (like now) It'...

Managed to find Lancashire Schools FA on Google which mentions a game at Turf Moor on 10th November 1949, between Lancashire & Yorkshire schoolboys. Says it was the first schoolboy game to be broadcast live on radio. Maybe it's this??
