I love how everyone has gone from questioning the sanity of the Trafford deal, to now hoping that price still stands :D

As I said when the news first broke, trust in VK. He knows what he's doing.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.

Maatsen is definitely too expensive at £25m, if indeed that report is to be believed. I must say I trust VK and the team implicitly, but I am slightly concerned that the headline fees that are out there (I know we don't pay them all in one go) for Couilbaly and Trafford could come back to haunt us. ...

We've really got to trust VK here, guys, I think. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.

The cautious part of me would rather we spend £8m on Butez, a 28 year old keeper of the year in Belgium, than take this huge and expensive risk on a rookie, but I trust VK and the team believe they can develop Trafford into being worth tens of millions in the future. Same with Coulibaly. Well, a few...

I would hope with all the players we are supposedly signing that we'll have a better option than JRod as our main striker. You'd like to think so. Although I did say in my post that, aside from Coulibaly, I was including present players only. Not many links to strikers out there though at the moment.

The thing with Flemming that, potentially, makes him better than Twine is that he is much stronger and much better at playing with his back to goal.

That means he could play in the number 10 role, or play as a false 9 for us as Rodriguez did so well in the early part of last season.
