Re: Colne Bookshop and Sold for a Stand
hardback. Club shop concentrating on flags. Their reason is books don't sell. They may have a point as hardback book prices now hit £25. What they seem not to remember is that I GAVE them dozens of copies of a couple of titles when the publisher retired and he gave me all his unsold Burnley stock. ...

Not a conservatory conversion but I’ve got an unused garage behind the house, not attached to the house. It’s not used as a garage and I’m not sure what I might do with it. Any ideas? It could be converted to a garden/hobby room or an office. If it's single brick construction then this will complic...

I had the insulated tiled, roof done 2 years ago. It's a lot warmer in winter, but you still need to heat it if you want to use a it as a regular room, but it needs less heating than before. It's still hot in the summer as two of the glazed sides get the full afternoon sun. One other benefit is that...

Agree. For a 7 screen cinema, Nando’s and Icaro Lounge, along with those parking there to go into town itself, 120 spaces doesn’t seem anywhere near enough The whole area around the cinema was gridlocked after the Palace game, it took, 35 minutes to get from the multi storey car park to the viaduct.

Re: Kompany: time to go
If, as said by Vincent Kompany, promotion was not expected last season, then relegation this season shouldn't result in his dismissal.
He's brought in an unexpected season of Premier League money which the board should regard as a bonus, not a failure.
