Re: "It is not easy to be an accountant in football"

Brighton were paying £1.3m per year to rent their ground and training complex on previous accounts. You could argue it’s wooden dollars. I wonder why Bloom isn’t writing the debt off? The reason is likely that he expects it back, and there will come a day when that debt gets called in. That’s when t...

Re: Financial fair play

Just think about it. FFP prevents fairy tales like Jack Walker enabling his small town club to compete with the big boys. Why would anyone other than your tight assed board be happy with that? One minute they are crying foul when someone suggests they bought the title, and the next they are talking...

Re: Rovers 6 points over easter

The biggest budget quite often gets you the most success, and Blackburn’s past is littered with seasons of success when someone has allowed them one of the biggest budgets. It’s no surprise they’re up there when a club like Portsmouth, one of the biggest clubs in that division with 17,000 crowds, ha...

Rovers fans pretending they’re boycotting, or have boycotters (I don’t mean 100 who have principles), to explain away the non-attendance. Rubbish! If there was truly a boycott going on they’d have 3,000 crowds by now, not the same or bigger crowds than when previously at that level. They even have a...

We did, it's not even up for debate. We were so financially f**ked Kilby had to persuade fans to pay for 2 season tickets at once by offering refunds on the 2nd year tickets. ITV Digital collapsed 7 years prior to that. I’ve not read the other comments since, but yes it seems it is up for debate. W...

Outside Wigan there is zero challenge in the division for Blackburn. Even shrewsbury aren’t good. It seemed to feel when we were last down there 18 years ago that the standard was a little better, although it probably wasn’t.

Building a big ground does not a big club make. Wigan do better now than you’d normally expect because of the Prem years, but the tickets sold thing disguises the real attendances.
