Re: Can we stay up with what we have
I think if our key players stay fit, we should be ok. But it's a massive gamble. We've not signed a first 11 player since 2017/18 when Cork and Wood were bought. Sooner or later, that's going to bite you if you don't reinvest in the squad. It's a tough balance to strike, but the owners have to wager...

It seems on the surface to be very simple. We aren't prepared to change our wage structure to get players in. Which I completely understand, but the reality is to get transfers over the line for any decent Premier league player, you're competing against other teams willing to pay more money. Combine...

We have Sean Dyche, which is worth a lot. We haven't lost tarks, Pope or mcneil. I also think Brownhill can grow into a good prem player this year. Vydra should play more of a role too now he's breaking through, and our new cb looks like a good en. That's the positives. We desperately need reinforce...

I might be being unnessarily pessimistic, but I've always thought as our stay in the Premier league as temporary. I've been critical of our lack of transfer activity, but in part it's down to simple economics and potential infrastructure. Transfers like this just highlight how well we've done to be ...

I don't think that's true. Ings has a slightly better record, but jesus is 5 years younger. Jesus also has a 1 in 2 record in the champions league. Totally agree with Tony, he's a good player but he's not a player pep would consider I don't think. Ings is just not quite that level, he's lost Ageuro and is looking for a world class replacement. Kane, yes, Haaland, yes/potentially, Messi, yes, Danny Ings, no.

It's fine to be positive, but criticism is fine too surely. Our squad is ageing and it's too small. That's a fact. And we haven't bought a player that has improved our first 11 markedly since 2017/18 when we got Wood and Cork in. That's not a great combination of factors. We desperately need new blo...

guess from SDs pov why would he be interested in players (aside from development squad players) unless they'd improve us. He's right to do that. Last year was our warning shot, we weren't far off relegation fodder for large parts of the season. Collins is a great start, but the reality is he's young and raw, and untested at this level. I think Brownhill is a bit underrated off the ball, and is improving on it. He makes a lot of interceptions, recoveries etc if you look at the stats. I certainly agree we need some investment in central midfield, but Brownhill I think does and will cut the mustard in future seasons.

Ings is a fantastic footballer and could easily play for City and would score freely. He’s technically good, and injury free he would’ve thrived at Liverpool.
