Re: Mackem fans
I was a steward at the 1985 League Cup final in the Sunderland end. Walker missed a pen and Norwich won 1-0, but the fans were great. I also enjoyed watching the impromptu pre match kick about between both sets of fans in the car park outside Wembley until there were too many cars and coaches to pla...

Re: BBC, tomorrow at eight.
Went to Sunderland but I won't be at the Turf for our replay. I'll try and find a stream for the second half, after athletics coaching.

Re: Andre Gray
Gray is powerful, reasonably quick, and has a vicious shot. However at this level his close control is generally poor, he regularly switches off mentally during the game, and his ability to bend his runs to evade the offside trap is lacking. Moreover he's not scoring, where in championship he was.

Re: Your favourite promotion?
Has to be 91/92 for me. Those away games at Carlisle then York where there were well over 7000 Clarets at each game was just brilliant to see and be a part of. This promotion coming after our near extinction, when up until the Orient game most of the town had given up on the team.
