He was very loyal as a player Easy to be loyal when you are playing at an elite club. General consensus seems to be that he will see the ‘project’ here lasting a few seasons. Hope that is the case. Just if you were plotting a career path for him, objectively you may question whether he’d want to ri...

Last seasons relegation and Kompany
Initially when we were relegated I thought we may struggle to attract Kompany to the club… however looking at it now, is it possible Kompany would have chosen to manage us in this scenario over coming in as a premier league manager, given the choice? We all know he’s pretty much on Premier league mo...

Not fickle much us Clarets fans Haha. This was my first thought when he scored. Abandoned is an emotional word that doesn't seem to apply but in fact he did leave for more money, and of course Premier League football. No-one can blame him for that but let's not make him out to be something special beyond him giving good service for most of the time he was here. Good service fo...

Drink driving incident aside, I’ve nothing but respect for Barnes and his time at Burnley. He’s been great and by all accounts a positive influence on and off the pitch. A few on here seem to compliment the ref on adding 10 mins tonight. He couldn’t do anything else in the circumstances. He added time on he is obliged to add on. Jay has shown this season just how a clever and natural a footballer he is. Adapting his game as he gets older and clearly Kompany has a great deal of confidence in him.
