Re: Car Leasing
Contract hire typically works out cheaper than PCP but you don’t have the option to buy at the end, which is fine for me as I don’t really want to keep the car beyond the lease anyway. As for PCP being ‘goosed’ as Darth pointed out, I have to agree. Although the risk lies with the leasing companies ...

Re: Car Leasing
Difference between PCP/PCH and owning is that for the former you are effectively just financing the depreciation on the car while you have it, but for the latter you are financing the entire cost of the car. While owning gives you equity in the vehicle it is still a depreciating asset. General rule ...

It is a myth that Premium Bonds are a no risk investment. If you don’t win any prizes then inflation will eat away at the real value of the bond. I was given about £30 of premium bonds in the mid 70’s, when this would have been a reasonable sum to spend. I have never won a prize. They are clearly wo...

I think the biggest risk is that England come knocking after another dissappointing display in Russia. The timing would be awful if that happenned i.e. at the back end of pre-season and when we are making signings. By appointing BFS the FA has shown that it can go outside the old school types and I...

Ironically, his success is probably reducing his options as the better we get the fewer clubs will seem like an attractive alternative. In the Premier League there are basically seven or eight ‘big’ clubs (including Everton, who aren’t performing like one at the moment, and Newcastle), and the rest ...

Tarkowski seemed to be particularly guilty of launching it long, particularly in the second half. I don’t know whether he had been told to do that or not, but they just seemed to be blind hoofs upfield more often than not.

Re: Huddersfield's defense
Despite their good start I still think they will struggle to stay up. I doubt they’ll get battered very often but they carry very little goal threat and will find it hard to win games. Hendrick really offered very little today and was a waste of a place in the team, the game completely passed him by. Westwood is a tidy player who rarely wastes a pass and reads the game well from a defensive perspective. Playing Westwood in front of the back four would release Defour to be influen...

To be fair to Wood he wasn’t helped by the awol Hendrick who provided no support whatsoever. I would have brought Barnes on much earlier and would have been tempted to replace Wood with Vokes if we are going to play it long.

Re: RATE THE REF - Michael Oliver v Crystal Palace
I suppose you could look at it the other way around too. If the free kick was taken from where the player was first offside then it could be that he was offside way further up the pitch than the defending team's back line. Would it be fair to ask them to therefore take the free kick much further back?

Hard luck for Heaton, but on a positive note it's a great opportunity for Pope to gain some Premier League experience. I thought he looked nervous at first today, which is not surprising, but made an excellent save which gave us an extra two points. Hopefully, that will have given him confidence.
