Re: PREVIEW: Clarets back on the road to Hull
A good read, unlike 1962 when we ran out of steam, we now have a big squad of players. The 62 team limped from game to game before sadly surrendering to Ipswich having given their all. No chance of this happening this year, is there?

You can’t win matches without batsmen, too many inadequate all rounders in this team. When did Woakes, Jordan and Curran get scores to justify their places in the batting order?

West Ham at Turf Moor, August 1959 took the lead by Connelly but lost 1-3 to a Hammers side possibly including Cantwell, Woosnam and Bond. Hooked since then.
Mondsley was at 1961 Chelsea game too, probably travelled on same coach as you from Littleborough.

When I first went to TM in 1959 and stood on the Longside everything seemed to be painted green and, apart from an odd scarf and rattle, there was little claret and blue on display except on the players’ shirts. Last year’s Norwich match was so disappointing and unforgettable for all the wrong reasons culminating in Dyche’s sacking. Cornet’s time at Burnley will also be remembered for his appalling miss. A point today would help restore better memories.
