Re: Trafford
Ridiculous thread. I don’t think he’s at fault for the first goal, Watkins horrendous first touch ended up being the perfect touch and gave Trafford a catch 22 scenario, come out and risk not getting there (which is what happened) or don’t come out and risk Watkins just smashing it in the corner. I’m away so was watching on tv but he seemed to favour them in every marginal call. Saints also pocketed big money for Livarimento Who had barely kicked a ball for 12 months. It only takes 2 maybe 3 to make the grade and we will more than cover this years spending. Barring a potential winner takes all derby in the last game of the season, I’d argue that Burnley have the easiest of the run ins. I wonder why batting bonus points are awarded for such a low score that didn't even pass the opposition's score? I think the constant comparisons are caused by the way the media present the game. True. We put in far more passive performances against City under Dyche, with teams featuring Mee, Tarkowski, Brownhill, Barnes etc. We got stuffed, but we shouted more and flew into a couple more tackles. These young foreigners need a bloke whose whose prepared to shout a bit (in English of course)...

I don’t expect a character like VK to have a team with a lack of character.
We might like Josh Brownhill because he looks a good lad, VK might think he’s limited and and there is a 20 year old Andorran who could do the same.
