Re: £10 million bid for Ryan Shawcross
Both would be amazing. Shawcross a leader, experienced and also a great threat from set pieces as is Dawson. Our squad would look strong if both joined along with Clucas, another winger and a striker . Pipe dream though perhaps.
Or maybe this is the window where Burnley shock their fans totally.

There's no chance we'll spend more than £20million on one player.

Re: If Gray goes who would you like in
I personally think all of those players are better than Andre Gray. If we signed one of the players on that list as a direct replacement for Gray then we would be no better off whatsoever, maybe financially yes but in footballing terms no! None of those strikers realistically offer us a better goal...

Wood is similar to Vokes!
And I can't see why we would have to go for just one option of the experienced Prem striker or the young/unproven, if the boot fits then grab one of each , loan out Agyei to the Championship and carry on our progress

Try and buy Ryan Kent on the cheap from Liverpool. Looked a very tidy player in pre-season, not as a replacement for gray as he's a winger but just a suggestion.
Looking like we may have to go abroad to find a genuine goal scorer though

Shane Long if he was dirt cheap yes please simply for the pace. Doesn't tend to hit double figures so a goal scorer is needed. Realistically it's hard to throw some names out : Danny Ings on loan would be great if he was anything close to his old self. Solanke - will be ahead on Ings at Anfield so n...

Regarding the betting markets, just to put it into perspective...I put £20 on Shane Long to join Burnley at odds of 8/1, I then refreshed then screen 2 seconds later and the odds had gone down to 6/1. So if that's anything to go by then I wouldn't worry.

Those who don't like the unattractive Dyche football need to take a moment and think about where we have come from and how great of an achievement it will/would be when we beat the drop. The toughest league in the world, and little old Burnley are battling with the big boys. Aguero, Hazard, Coutinho...

And how you get this idea from SD quote it beyond me. He's just hit a landmark tally and for me will probably get better in the next few seasons. Rotation and form...Vokesy is more than good enough for that.
