Played with some quality players when I was younger. The two best would be James Murray and Robert Sinclair. Another was Mick Hunt (yes, seriously).

Sunday League had some top teams too.

The bits I’ve read on the Everton forums are mainly negative. It reads as though plenty want him to do well, being a kid coming up through their youth, but the consensus being that he’s not PL standard. He's been compared to Baines (on the other side, obviously) - £7 million for anything like Baines would be a superb buy.
