Re: Clarets sign Muslim Athlete Charter
What some aims to achieve or purports to aim to achieve isn't always the same thing. I really don't see the purpose of this charter given that religious beliefs are already protected in UK law. This thread demonstrates the unintended consequences - it's dividing people and potentially sharpening se...

I don’t think i’m being pedantic at all, they’re two different things. You can not judge a person for following a religion and still disagree what they’re saying. Benn’s in Burnley and Cowgill’s in Clitheroe is where my entire Subbuteo collection came from in the late 70s/early 80s. Cowgill’s is still there but sadly no longer stocks Subbuteo.

VAR needs scrapping full stop. I can accept referees making spur of the moment mistakes, they’re only human. But mistakes after the chance to analyse, the chance to consider the ‘implications’ of a decision, it’s all worse than the situation it was supposed to be helping IMO.

I’ve been saying this for three years. Everton need relegating to re-build. They have flirted with it too long and they absolutely need it. I’ve nothing against them at all but relegation may give them the kick up the arse they need as a club. It could also be the push over the edge of a precipice....
