Positive for me is we should've won our last two home games
The negative is we got zero points.

Re: Resigned to Relegation
With 10 minutes to go the whole picture looked completely different. Luton found a goal, we capitulated and it looks done and dusted instead of optimistic. I think the lads try really hard, but that's different to bottle and nous. We have neither of those things

Re: Waddle talks Burnley
He says he was only interested in the football side, but from what I hear he was often pretty absent at training! Just completely the wrong type of character to be a manager. However, seeing Chris Waddle wear a burnley shirt for the first time was amazing, he was my favorite player as a kid.

Exactly - a byproduct of our scattergun approach to recruitment this summer Koleosho has looked promising so far, Odobert now being on the bench and given game time It's almost like VK is trying to justify some of his summer signings at the expense of good players from last year such as Zaroury Sam...

He's unfortunate that one of our only performers in the final third so far has been koleosho on the left. He also has tresor to deal with who is best that side (though hasn't shown it thus far. And then there's Larsen. Ridiculous state of affairs as discussed many times but it's a problem for him.

Re: The only way is up
Utterly pointless getting rid of Kompany at this point, from a footballing and business pov. With this group of players he's assembled, he's both the most likely manager to keep us up, or bring us back up. 6 months ago he was the next big thing, sure to be a man city manager. Now he's out of hid dep...

Always going to be hard today, but you can't concede goals like this. Encouraging signs against Palace and Arsenal, but we need points and we just can't get them. Unfortunately we're about a season short of experience for many of these players.

I don't know what the stats are but I feel like we concede so many goals 40-45 mins every time we're in the premier league. And never ever score them in the same time period. We've played well but it's really annoying.

For one, I've literally never suggested moving a player out of position before on this board. 2. It's naff all like moving Andre Bikey into midfield, or Edgar who are both about half the player on the ball Jordan Beyer is. Same to a lesser extent with Tarky. 3. I personally don't think it particular...

I don't think the money has been wasted per se, because I think the assets we have are or will be worth it. But misspent timing-wise? For sure. For one, you can't expect assets to mature in value if they can't play because there's so much competition Koleosho Benson Zaroury Tresor Ramsay Amdouni Lar...

He's one of the good guys in football for sure. I suspect some of his motivation was designed to give a young manager a bit of encouragement and perhaps take a bit of pressure off the result for Kompany. Re: Lack of goals
Tella isn't really a striker either, certainly no more than Amdouni who I'm pretty confident will get more career goals than tella. I think not replacing Weghorst/Barnes was more of a mistake personally. We have goals in this team no doubt, what we have struggled with is a foundation and focal point...

Release clauses?
With the model we've adopted, the obvious risk is a swift relegation before the value of any young players have matured. Should the worst happen (and I'm not resigned to that just yet), are players like Amdouni or Tresor going to want to play in the championship. Do we think any have release clauses...

We disagree on that I guess. To me he's got far more qualities as a holding midfielder than either Brownhill or Berge. Also was 2002 a particularly productive year for moving defenders into midfield on champ manager, I don't remember that!
