No way to treat a long serving player.
For someone saying "we need to keep the culture", he is doing a fantastic job of ending the sources of it!
The "culture" doesn't mean the personnel.
Ralph Coates is part of the culture.

Would be stupid to let Lowton go, if Roberts picks up an injury or gets a suspension then we would be in trouble. Lowton could still have an important part to play this season, you can’t predict injuries.
I guess we would use Egan-Riley or Vitinho.

Believe it or not I think in the 1920s a square object called the television got invented a remarkable piece of kit which can enable people to watch football without even leaving the house, don’t you think that’s a brilliant invention that’s been going nearly a century now. You are absolutely missi...

You can't help but notice the tendency for recent threads on a variety of topics, either transfers, individual players or general club matters to descend into a slanging match between those who appreciated the Dyche tenure and those who couldn't wait to see the back of him. But there must come a po...

Different league, different qualities. Overall he was dreadful for us on the field.
I thought he started off OK but seemed to get worse almost game by game.
Perhaps the rigours of the PL were too much for him.

Missing that split-second reaction time (IMO), can a player at his age get it back?

The fascinating thing was that we offered higher wages by the sounds of it, and without doubt if he signs we stay up. Taylor had a fairly limp season in that position. Dyche did fantastic but the owners probably looked at him and thought his style is affecting the attraction of the club. Look at Ko...

Pretty sure those rumours don't make any sense. Are they suggesting that Kevin Long and Matt Lowton had contracts that didn't include relegation clauses? Or are they suggesting that they were both on £40k a week wages in the Premier League?
Would that surprise you?

He will be the best cb in the country and our loss is Wolves gain
Maybe, but Coady has been consistently good for Wolves.
Just seems a bit rash... or are Wolves skint?

I heard today that since they now have Nathan Collins Wolves are prepared to part with Connor Coady.
Seems a bit rash to me.
Is Collins really that good?

Shame we need to turn this into a criticism os Sean Dyche rather than look at the impact long-ball tactics have in the modern game. I think I'm right in saying it was used by Paisley or Fagan at Liverpool, but they called it something like "Alehouse??" and used it when things weren't going so well. ...

No. I said fans don't care how they win trophies. That's all. Can I ask why you support Burnley? Burnley is my chosen club. Has been for 60 years (not saying that matters particularly). I have no trouble taking the rough times, and we have had some. I enjoy watching football, winning is a bonus not...

But surely the benchmark for any of those other clubs is to get into Europe to be considered as successful as us. Am I right in thinking that on one thread you have stated that the only thing that matters to fans is winning trophies? (or very similar). So unless a club wins that specific European c...

Vitinho in for Costelloe.
Possibly.
Or we do much the same as at Huddersfield and bring on subs to freshen things up.
We now have so many options.

That true but we have moved away from the well run sustainability model that was once established successfully for many years it’s not as if we have always been in debt. this is a new thing not self inflicted. In truth the wage demands of our ageing squad were making financial sustainability tricky...

It was just a suggestion. Kev isn’t as bad as made out. Season we finished 7th he played 16 games including a pretty important header against Leicester to solidify our European spot… Edit: I’m not particularly pulling for Kev Long per say, it’s more having a bit more aerial dominance to counter wha...

I agree with that but unless we score every attack they’re gonna get the ball back somewhere and pump it up top to two big lads - I’d like to nullify their chance of winning them clearing headers and getting a platform to build an attack with. (Just like Mou did with Fellaini/Matic in the anchor ro...

My take is that the more you give the ball away the more you have to defend.
The more you have to defend the more likely it is that you make a mistake.

You know how when city and United came to the turf they tended to plug in their more ‘physical’ players because they knew we liked to play off 2nd ball? Infamously Mourinho did it with Fellaini and totally nullified our threat. They play direct off their big men to try and get a foothold up the pit...

Bit of a paradox here - in many ways Luton are like us under Dyche in the PL against the big boys: An underdog ‘sum of the parts’, organised team that will try and upset/unsettle the more attack/possession based favourite. So that being said , I’m a bit concerned with playing an undersized centreha...

England men wouldn’t have won that comp. Wouldn’t have had the belief and the guile to break Spain down. They would’ve accepted the defeat with a “oh well, very nearly again and it was only 0-1 and they are a good side blah blah blah” The womens manager gave them a clear plan and they stuck to it. ...
