Two more cup ties from the 60's I recall were firstly a re-arranged 4th round tie at home to Leyton Orient on a Tuesday night in 1962. I was 9 years old but allowed to attend with older relatives. I saw it as a formality because 'banana skin' games still didn't exist in my world then. We battered th...

Very true - for both goals and, in modern terms, he got the assists on both. The only thing I've been able to find is a pic at the end of the game showing him still carrying his boot. Best Boot.jpg And what was then the building of a new stand in progress in readiness for the 1966 World Cup Finals.

Wouldn't move on Vitinho, think far too much is made of his shortcomings and people forget how young he is because our whole team are kids. Defenders tend to peak later. Well, he's 24, 25 in July. Don't think he fits the category of a 'kid'. However, more importantly, I'm intrigued regarding your c...

No, it isn't. If we are a club next season looking for promotion again why would a mediocre defender suffice as back up? Not self explanatory at all. I would say that is more contradictory.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 23, 2024 9:13 pmBecause we don’t need a top of the league CB quality as a back up???? I thought was fairly self explanatory
