I'm not sure what's funnier. The old man missing blatant sarcasm or his complete and utter misunderstanding of the the game. Next he'll be telling us that throw ins should be taken with your feet or that their keeper illegally touched the ball with their hands in their own box. I love this forum som...

Re: That s exactly why I hate the prem.
What I don't understand is why the refs are happy with the way defenders wrap their arms around attackers and tug on their shirts, but the moment a player retaliates by simply shoving them with an elbow it's a foul. Worrel is a big guy but fell down and feigned being hurt just to try and get Foster ...

In the pre match press conference on the topic of left backs Kompany said he's not worried since he has two 'left footed' defenders that can play there and that if Vitinho(injured) or Roberts plays there it doesn't matter in possession anyway. I think this maybe limits up how he approaches tactical ...

I live in a random town in the US and the other day met an American Crystal Palace fan. Given 90% of fans here are wearing the usual shirts I thought it was nice to see. He'd visited Sellhurst Park lots of times and said he had a lot of respect for Burnley. I also saw another today wearing an Everto...

This thread has gone way off topic. I don't agree with the OP. Teams are not scared by the type of football that's played, but they are scared of losing. Do you think teams are scared now visiting Brighton? Of course they are, they play expansive football and take games to opposition. It's far more ...

Al-Dakhil was unlucky there with the ball bouncing around but he has a lot to learn at this level. He has to stay on his feet more and stop committing himself 99% of the time.

How has Sarr not been booked and the goal chalked off for that foul. That's true. You watch the replay and he deliberately keeps his leg up to trip Amdouni. Clear foul. He did it discretely enough for the refs to miss it. Premier League players are all masters of the dark arts. We need to match them.

Since we are so attacking and have a high press so much emphasis is placed on our defenders being individually brilliant to deal with the threat. Sadly they were shown up in the game, hopefully with some lessons learnt. Al-Dakhil can't always lunge forward to try and aggressively win a ball when the...

In my opinion we have been afraid to win the ball. Not helped by very poor refereeing. All the Aston Villa players have to do to get a free kick is jump out of the way and fall over. The big problem has been poor defending though. Al-Dakhil and Delcroix have some learning to do when tracking runs fr...
