Re: Ekdal and Al-Dakhil
I don’t really get why we’ve brought in Esteve when we have Al-Dakhil. I’ve seen nothing of Esteve to make me think he is an upgrade. The ceiling for both is similar and let’s not forget Al-Dakhil was getting called up to the Belgian side. Al-Dakhil was a victim of our very open back line, and then...

Re: Unpopular opinions
I mean you kinda did by referring to their 'brand' of football which is attempting to categorise them a bit - I certainly think they play a better brand than often given credit for - If you're asserting that playing a more 'progressive' / 'expansive' style is harder to recruit for then I'd somewhat...

No I think you're missing the point by lumping Luton in with some sort of dinosaur long ball side which couldn't be further from the truth - who had 62% of the ball when we played at Turf Moor?... Your second point is textbook conjecture - of course they'd get relegated again, sides like Leeds/West...

Re: Unpopular opinions
Those pointing out Lutons relative success are missing the point I made in the OP. Playing the brand of football they do it is easier to have more success with a lower pedigree of players. It's a lot harder to recruit players who have grit, determination and endeavor who also are strong technically....

Admittedly we've been very poor but I do think if we were to replay each game results would be different and we have also been very unlucky, especially if you consider the inconsistencies of some decisions together with injuries. We'll start winning when we know for sure we are down. Then the pressure will be off and we can play without fear again. We should be aiming to finish as high as we can anyway to get more money. I don't think Kompany will know for sure who is going to start and go until the summer. The fact is we wi...

For me bad performers today have to be Fofana, OShea and Assignon.
Amdouni had no impact as usual.
Positives were Berge and Cullen playing well and Vitinho too.
I'm glad Fofana is only on loan.

Just not good enough. Trailing to a very poor side who were just waiting for our desperation to get big enough to gift them a goal.
Can't blame the effort of most players but some just can't be assed and some look like they wouldn't be out of place in a league 2 side.

O’Shea carded for kicking the ball away not dissent, act of total stupidity after 20 seconds that arguably made him cautious for his error for the goal. Fair point about the Nottingham ref’s consistency though. They could have had 2 reds too, one for a 2nd booking, one for a bad tackle. Kicking the...

Agreed about Jbg, think he has to play every weekbwhen we play this system. If we put an extra man in midfield it may allow us to play Benson whichbis whay id be doing now. Re: ARTICLE: Substitute Cullen comes out on top in Palace defeat
Think we were all probably too harsh on him earlier this season. He was woeful but he had little support and it was quite obvious that we were trying to play everything through him, he was just getting completely swamped. If we continue to use Berge as our main playmaker with Cullen filling Brownhi...

The other thing that is corrupt about this league, is that the young 30 year old ref on a work experience placement / trial (2nd game in the PL) is hardly going to upset the “company” by overruling a VAR senior official. There should be a single ref. VAR is just there to stuff the little clubs, and...

Interesting that the freezeframe shows the keeper is not getting that ball so it is a goal. Yet VAR denies it. Would have been 2-1 if we take the offside at the other end too (clearly interfering) but don’t worry, it will level up by the end of the season  When Fofana's header was made Asssign...

It's clear the team selection just matches the club philosophy. It doesn't matter if we lose points each game because of Trafford, we need to develop him at all costs. You can't blame Brownhill imo. As people have already said it's just an automatic reaction out of desperation. There was no time to assess the situation. Bad decision making from Trafford to make the pass and good pressing from them. Since it happens so regularly you'd think Trafford would avoid doi...

How do you know Tella, Al Dakhil and Zaroury aren’t good enough for this level? Crazy to think we are loaning players to PSV. Clearly the guy is a step above some of our other players and yet still not good enough to be considered for the Premier League. Massengo is obviously considered a higher pedigree.
