I hope he stays as long as possible (though I don't think he will). He has been one of the best center backs I have seen in a Burnley shirt.

There was no number one record on the day I was born. The Uk record charts started on the 14th November 1952, which was five years after my glorious entrance into the world.

I honestly couldn't care how good or bad his kicking is, he is the best English keeper without a doubt and ranks up there with all the top keepers.

Sitting on a barrier on the Bee Hole end with my dad holding me in place. This would have been circa 1952: my dad pointed out a player with a shock of wavy blond hair wearing an old gold shirt, he said "that's Billy Wright and he's the captain of England". I thought I was witnessing the presence of ...

The General Williams was my local when I lived in England. I know Joan well, and knew her husband Mick who died a few years back. You're right she did make a cracking cheese and onion tea cake, I'd forgotten about those.

I watched the first half of the Newcastle game in Tanges sports bar in Benalmadena. There were a few Geordies there watching the game. I asked why Hendrick wasn't playing and got the reply (in a strong Geordie accent) "it's because he's f.cking sh.te mate". Make of that what you will.

I went to see them live at the DeMonfort Hall in Leicester in 1967 when they were in their pomp. I was wrong, they were absolutely fabulous, even performing songs like like Good Vibrati...

I remember watching the first episode of Coronation Street 60 years ago.
