Re: Thats why we need pace
Not quite sure Hendrick cuts it as an attacking center mid, could do with someone like Jota there to open up a little more space. The biggest disappointment for me is Brady, delivery's from set piece have been excellent but his general performance through games has been poor. I expected him to be on...

Will partner Ings well, a younger, more mobile Vokes.
Thats if Ings comes in, otherwise its not really what we need.

If bfccrazy thinks this striker is capable of getting 15 goals for us, its not going to be Shane Long. My guess is its somebody who actually has hit this amount in the prem before at some point, step forward Wlifred Bony.

There's still 3 weeks left so we could get the additions in, no need to panic but i must admit to being a little concerned. The worrying thing for me is any additions now might take a couple of months to get to full speed and gel with the squad. Our past record in the transfer windows dosnt fill me ...

Somebody summed it up for me the other day on another thread. If we were to sell Gray to wolves for 20 million or somewhere else for 15/20 mill, all we have to do is put 10/15 million to it and we have a 30 million pound striker. Zapata would be an excellent addition. Nows our best chance to get a d...

Without a decent CB coming in, I'll be 50% happy/unhappy, that was always a priority signing.
If a CB comes in then 75% happy.
Then a winger to 90% and striker to a 100%
Is that greedy?

Theres still nearly a month left. This period of the window tends to be more succesfull for the smaller clubs and it seems to be when we do most of our business. Any one know how many additions we had made by this time last year?

I too am 25. I think I first signed up to claretsmad when I was 13 or 14, I used the computer room at school, there was a teacher who was a Burnley fan so he didn't mind! Are people only interested in going away when we are in the Prem?
I never struggled getting away tickets in the championship and I found a better atmosphere most games (although that had something to do with last year's away results)

Positive start to the window.
Last seasons transfer window was frustrating, we seemed to make small bids for target A and then move on to targets B, C and D. It left a lot with the feeling that we had very little pulling power as a club. January was OK. This season has started a little differently, we seem to have got a few earl...

Perhaps a mistake to appoint him or perhaps very limited options, either way, he was average. The atmosphere was poisonous most games and he needed to go to bring the fans back together. Just curious! I don't think Barnes had his best game today but it would have always been tough feeding off scraps and battling with fellani. Gray on the other hand received the ball to his feet plenty of times, he actually received service and gave it away far too cheaply.

Like another poster said, look like we are lacking in every department at the minute. Midfielders who can't carry the ball. Wingers who can't cross. Strikers who can't net. A truly under rated player. He has been the engine for our team for 4 or 5 years. People make out that he's poor at passing but he actually provides some very good cross field passes. Gray needs an amc just behind him playing him through 1 on 1. Until he's getting that type of service it's hard to tell if he's up to it. I'd like to see a 4-5-1 with defour or hendrix just In behind gray, think defour would play some lovely waited balls through to gray.
