Re: Everton fans in home end
My brother bought a corporate package for the jimmy mac for 9 of us tomorrow. The club phoned him and asked a lot of questions about where he grew up, his first game, who else is coming etc. It sounded like a thorough investigation!

Re: January transfer window rumours.
I would keep the young players if we had a tapestry of riches in the first team. But the issue we have is we need first team quality players not lads with potential. January should be a window for players aged between 26-28 worth around the 15m mark. We need a starting CB, at least 1 starting full ...

Re: January transfer window rumours.
I agree with this, bar I don’t think anyone knows whether we have any money or not. Jay we absolutely need to keep too. Fair enough on Jay. With the money thing, not saying we don't have any. But we certainly can't have the amount you'd need to guarantee the amount of points we'd need. In January e...

Re: January transfer window rumours.
Churlinov, Redmond, Jay, Cork, Delcroix, Tresor, Obafemi, Massengo They can all go. Free up the wages, bring in some cash get 3-4 top players in Tresor was one of those "top players" on paper, so far as the type we can attract. At this point, we simply don't have the money to buy our way out of thi...

Re: Relegation is imminent
Probably will do. Hard to see who would sign to fit our business model (age, ability and potential) over the January window. I thought we would struggle this year. It is nothing unexpected. People seem to think that we should be winning games that we just wouldn't have expected to win with an exper...

Re: Relegation is imminent
I was hopeful till tonight. It's just abundantly clear we don't have the right experience, leadership or physicality on the pitch. I'm sure these lads would be great in a 5 a side tournament, but compete in the premier league? Nah. Said over and over again, but our naivety in the summer was quite un...

Re: Clarets v Everton Match Thread
We've been terrible a couple of times, at defending. The rest of it, has been ok. We need a goalscorer like everyone else does too. Ok in general play yes. I wouldn't say it's just the goals we've been bad defensively, we are very easy to counter at pace. There's been a good few times one of their ...

So many factors as highlighted above. My bugbear is that there's so much in our supermarkets that is massively processed, and barely food at all. It's frightening. I'm not criticising the recruitment in this area fwiw, or saying Jay doesn't give 100%. I'm just saying we look a bit toothless in attack, and wondering if there's an alternative with the attacking players we have available. That's all.

Re: Who for Jay?
I think you need to play Rodriguez for two reasons. Firstly, in the absence of Foster, he's the only player we have capable to providing a focal point for the team. Secondly, he provides excellent help when it comes to defending set pieces and this is often overlooked. I'd be lining up with Rodrigu...

Great servant, but at the moment he's not really giving us a great deal. Amdouni is doing the best work dropping deep, and I can't remember too many times where Jay has held the ball up well for us. And he's not exactly firing in front of goal. Not calling him useless etc, but he's not at his sharpe...

Everton are no better that West ham, and we definitely should've gotten a point if not 3. Definitely should've beaten Palace, a point at wolves possibly and I thought we were decent for long periods against arsenal. In short, we can compete against Everton. I always felt under Dyche we were weakest ...

I think we've been excellent so far. And although Trafford's long balls have come back, who has he got to aim at really? The one for JBG to run onto I thought was a decent effort too. And he looks more assured on when to go short and when to go long.

Yep me too. Much prefer pace in wide areas. JBG is more effective centrally. But I suppose its logical to protect vitinho a little down that side and you'd hope he'd offer a little ahead of JBG on occasion. Personally if have maybe dropped Jay or Amdouni, played JBG in centrally with berge and brown...

I like JBG but I admit I found it weird, they were struggling down that side with pace. Redmond, Odobert, Zaroury and Tresor all get the nod there ahead of JBG for me. Also our balls in the box were getting eaten for breakfast. Jay was never in the game. Might as well have subbed him, popped Amdouni...

It would be great to spoil someone else's party for once. Once we go behind it's tough, you need a player like tresor to come on and do something to change the game. Our bench is strong on paper but subs have rarely made an impact

Zero need to spend in this window. Maybe a few loans out for odobert and massengo and if we can get some experience in on a loan maybe do that. But spending more won't keep us up now. We just need to improve and develop the players we have.
