I was buzzing when I read the news about the documentary, but reading this thread has made me realise that even good news becomes bad news on here.

Re: Burnley documentary coming to Sky from this season
I'm beginning to think that we have some of the most unhappiest fans in the country. A season like this one, and we still have people looking for negatives all over the place. Enjoy the current good times because football is unpredicable, and life is way too short.

As is the right to enjoy an event without having it ruined by a vociferous minority. Ruined? A massive state occasion like the one we saw yesterday ruined by a tiny bunch of noisy demonstrators? By heck, we really have become a paranoid country. On second thoughts, best to crush them with an iron f...

To be honest, I've always been indifferent towards this kind of stuff, but recent events are changing my opinion. The 'shouting down' by certain people and section of the media, towards those not fully signed-up to the cause, is way OTT. I also find it against our values as a nation. You can be eith...

Another humiliating defeat for Russia at the United Nations: the General Assembly has overwhelmingly backed a resolution referencing Russian aggression against Ukraine and Georgia, with 122 votes in favor and just 5 against. This swearing of an oath of allegiance to the king and his heirs is like a throwback to the days of the Norman overlords, and I say this as someone who is usually ambivalent when it comes to the Royal Family. A modern monarchy, eh? Don't make me laugh.
