Correct me if I am wrong here but I don't think Vokes has scored a goal in open play away from Turf Moor so why would you select him above Barnes who has notched at WHL Anfield and won a penalty at the Emirates?

Robinson 5 looked past it and underlined how good Heaton is. However Pope in future please. Lawton 5 last two Swansea goals came from his position. Mee 6 couldn't handle Llorente but brilliant stop on the line. Keane 6 as above, left Lowton to deal with Llorente for goal #1 as per Deeney goal at Wat...

I always reserve judgement on a player until I have seen him for at least half a dozen times. However on today's showing it looks like we bought the wrong player from Norwich as Olsson looked miles better than Brady and only cost £5 million.

Re: credit to andre...

Yep scored the penalty and prior to that his deflected shot on the turn forced Fabianski into a fantastic save. Also had a good headed chance as he got in front of his marker but heading is not really his strong point. Scored a great goal and almost set up Vokes with a ball across the six yard box. ...

Re: Burnley players reaction after penalty

It's a good point. Really with vs 10 men it was a great chance to get three points. A number of us thought that with Barton in the side it would improve our "game management" patently that didn't happen as we came under immense pressure. On the other hand a lot of the lads were probably dead on thei...

Re: What happens with the lino

If you look at the pic in the Ben Mee thread there appear to be a couple of players in the line's line of sight. In any case the Arsenal player is probably offside for one second. Not easy to spot & difficult to see in real time even on the tele.

Re: Robbed by officials in last minute again

I'm not sure we have improved away from home, a loss is still a loss and we don't create more than an odd scoring opportunity. We won't be favourites for any of them and probably won't be picking up too many points unless the 'Keep it tight, don't concede and hope for a draw' tactic is ditched. We ...

His vision would have been blocked to the player crossing the ball from the far side of the pitch and as the offending player was offside for a split second, therefore a difficult one to give.

If we had Colin Blant marking Sanchez we might have a small chance but down at their place he has been impossible to handle. My hope is that Sean will experiment with three at the back bringing Tarka into the team and try and park the bus. If we go one down switch the full backs for the likes of Boy...

Re Su'l'an the interest in Brady sure does seem to contradict what Moyes has said previously, but maybe that 4 - 1 whacking has caused them to hit the panic button. Even though they got whacked again on Saturday Moyes did not use any subs. which is a message to the Board isn't it? Also there is an o...

I know he is the dirty rat who dived to get the winning penalty for Rovers, but it looks like maybe we missed a trick with Olsson as the consensus amongst Norwich fans seems to be that at £5 Million signing Olsson is a snip for Swansea. Adding to the Martin-p list - we "deserved" something out of the game/ to win. The best exponent of this concept being Koemann who said the the result was "unfair" as we had scored more goals than Everton. Perhaps the FA need to introduce some form of handicap system where the team that has played t...

I think ' relentless' is the key word, CT. Just over 58 years since my first visit to the Turf in November 1958 and this is not the best team I've seen by any means but it's probably the toughest and most competitive. Can't agree with that.
