Re: Chester races 1/7/23
Low drawn horses are always a good call at Chester. My tip is to stay out of the city after the meeting has finished and I'll be sticking to it. It's a party city and weekends are lively most of the year but throw a summer evening race meet into the equation and it can get a bit crazy.

Whichever way you look at it we're in a relegation scrap from the first whistle. No weak teams in this league and most have resources way beyond our limited means. Fingers crossed we'll nick a few wins early on to settle the nerves.

Going will be firm. Not much rain here in Chester for a while. Low draws are always an advantage given tight nature of track. I always used to bet on a decent horse and jockey combo with a low draw. Bristol Bears vs Sale Sharks tonight at Ashton Gate. It's an attritional game of rugby at half time but I'm wincing at the damage being done to the playing surface by the scrums, rucks and mauls after torrential rain. It's going to impact the ability to play a passing game tomorrow.

First by denying so many of our fans the chance to watch the game.
Second by getting us to bicker amongst ourselves.
I agree with all of Tony's comments and ask that not a penny more than neccessary, is spent at Ewood by those attending.
