Can the English people please have a referendum to decide if they want to become an independent country?
Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland can then decide their own future without interference from a UK parliament.
I know what the result would be - INDEPENDENCE.

Re: What was better about football in your youth?
Muddy pitches. Was possible to do a 20 ft sliding tackle.
In mid-winter I used to tease the groundsman at the Prarie 'will it take a stud?'.
He used to reply 'go forth and multiply' or words to that effect.

Re: Heaton interesting other clubs.
Let him go?
NO NO NO
If we want to stay in the Premier league then we must keep him at all costs. Even if it means a 24 hour military presence on the Burnley boundary!

We are in the PL so however uncomfortable it feels we must let George go. 3 million is about right ( Shefield Wednesday).

Re: How much is Snodgrass worth?
I understand the reservations but I think he is a real quality player that we should actively persue.
Lets offer 10 million. 30,000 a week and a three year contract.
Might get 3 million for Boyd in a part exchange deal?

How much is Snodgrass worth?
I think that most of us agree that Snodgrass would be a great addition to our squad.
How much should we offer?
Probably got 3 or 4 good years left in him. I would go up to 12 million.

Re: Are we really that much better than the last time we were in the Premier Leaugue
Defence much better.
Midfield slightly better ( still the weakest link ).
Attack slightly worse ( vokes and barnes and ings better than vokes and barnes and gray ).

Re: Move Ben Mee back to left back?
I agree that the back four are all playing very well and should be in any starting line up. I just feel that Tarkowski is now one of our best 10 outfield players and we must find a way to fit him into the team especially for away games. A less risky strategy might be to play him alongside Barton jus...

Move Ben Mee back to left back?
Might be possible to move Ben Mee back to left back. Play Tarkowski alongside Kean at centre half and move Ward up to an attacking left half position. I understand he was a left winger early on in his career.
Certainly worth trying in training don't you think?

0.5 of a yellow card for an appalling pass.

Re: Do we need to recruit a top class attacking coach?
I am not proposing to replace anyone I am just suggesting that the addition of a top class attacking coach might have some benefits. I do agree that rocking the boat at this moment in time might be too risky. I remember watching Willy Morgan, Dave Thomas, Trevor Steven, Ralph chunky Coates, Leighton...

Re: Do we need to recruit a top class attacking coach?
I reckon Marney, Arfield, Barnes, Vokes, Ings, Trippier going forward, have all significantly improved their game over the last four years while with Burnley. Hence, the coaching is fine. Ok. The coaching is fine so no need to improve anything. How many shots have we had on target away from home?

Re: Do we need to recruit a top class attacking coach?
The point I am trying to make is. Over the past two years the goalkeeper and the four regular defenders have improved their all round game quite significantly. Unfortunately IMHO the regular midfielders and forwards haven't. Can't criticise work rate and organisation which are second to none. My fee...

Do we need to recruit a top class attacking coach?
Our defense looks well organised and is an effective unit. No doubt that Sean Dyches experience as a central defender has had a major impact on their success. IMHO the interplay and linking between midfield and attack is poor and would definitely improve with a specialist 'attacking' coach. Is it ti...

'Burnleyd' a new word for the Oxford English dictionary...
I would like to suggest a new word for the Oxford English dictionary.
'Burnleyd'
Definition: Getting beaten by a technically inferior opponent
The Liverpool / Watford / Everton / Southampton etc managers could then say in their post match interview 'I think we have just been Burnleyd'

Re: The state of the NHS
Worked in the NHS for 35 years. Biggest problem is BED BLOCKING. The answer is totally obvious. Open up LOCAL COMMUNITY REHABILITATION HOSPITALS. They cost a fraction of acute hospitals to run and relations / relatives find them much easier to access.
