Re: VYDRA
Like a lot of people could see that game was crying out for some quick passing behind Jay and support from an advanced midfield position, we probably would have won if he had at least 30-40 minutes as Everton were on the ropes in first half, big opportunity missed to get out of bottom 3. Bringing Ba...

If we can get that version of Brady out on the pitch every week then I’d be happy for him to go left wing, give McNeil a rest.

It always happens every season, we go through a terrible patch of not looking like we can actually play and then something changes in the set up and we start trying to pass on the floor and we always get better results from it. Not sure why the rugby tactics come out every season as we always do ter...

Re: Mcneil - have we seen enough?
He’s definitely not a central midfielder ( can he use his right foot?) and I would only want him on the left wing and attacking if he is to play. Asking him to run backwards and having Taylor attack down the wing is a waste of his time and talents. If we weren’t desperate for him to play he’d have p...

When you look at the formation and where the players are positioned against one of the best sides in the league you know it’s going to be a bad day. Went out after the first half makes you angry when you see your team shambolically set up like that. I like Barnes but why is he up front after being d...

Re: Jay or vydra signing
I don’t think that his ability is so huge that we need to change the whole team around to suit him. I think he’d do a better job than Hendrick as a 10 but if it’s never tried there then we’ll never know, we had our best ever league position playing mainly 4-5-1 which seems to have been forgotten ab...

I’m his uncle but I don’t think it’d be bad if we had a formation that gets him in the no.10 as a plan b, think that would be decent, kicking the ball 50 feet into the air isn’t his strong point thoboatshed bill wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 7:44 pmLots.

Why would you pick Barnes's worst spell to try and justify Vydra? Barnes 36 in 160 premier league games (a quarter of those games coming on as a sub). Vydra 6 in 61 premier league games with over half of them as sub appearances (West Brom he couldn't force a starting position and at Watford they ei...

He hasn't really scored or assisted when he has played though has he? That's the problem. He's got into decent positions frequently..... and then....... produced very little. In footballing terms feel sorry for Vydra, been completely underused and when he has played he has scored or assisted. Pass and move football pioneered by Jimmy Hogan in the 1930s and adopted by successful teams the world over is the way to go. It's just that we have forgotten this simple method at Burnley, playing instead England style 3 passes sideways and 3 back before lumping the ball upfield I agree, when was ...

We’ve suffered our worst start in the club’s history, struggling to create chances, confidence very low, and you suggest we drop our most creative player? We are definitely missing him on the right hand side, does a lot of good work usually going unnoticed and pops up with wonder goals and a few assists. That type of player is now circa £20m to replace, not sure our current chairman is up for spending anywhere near that at the moment.
