Honestly though, its more the time. A Saturday game means being off to the airport after work on Friday, and not getting back until late Sunday.

Could be a lot to be said for a strategic partnership between us and accy. They get a few of our u23s, use of the training ground, a better pitch installed at theirs, and we make their ground our u23 and women's ground.

AFCON is a great competition. Clubs know full well that their players might miss a few games to play at AFCON when they sign them, then cry arse when they actually go there. (Very much excluding Lyle from this as circumstances are very different).
