Pieters looked comfortable on Thursday, a natural footballer, as you'd expect of the Dutch.
Cahill and Milejovic are big strong lads in the air. If Jay isn't playing, I'd play 2 fast little uns, and keep the ball on the deck.
I thought Pieters looked quite assured too when he came on

Re: Burnley Looking To European Market For Reinforcements

I dont see why Rigg can't use the top scouts. They must have a long list of top talent, that the likes of Man U, Chelsea are after, but they should also have a list of really good players that might suit a 'Burnley', but not good enough for the top 6. If they are out there touting top talent anyway...

Re: 31 games in

It can't be as simple as that though, because what "backing him" means is entirely subjective. If he wants to sign Harry Kane, then we shouldn't back him, because it would bankrupt the club. There have to be boundaries, and its Dyche job to push them and the board's job to try and maintain them, or...

Said this a few times but not too sure we have the evidence to conclude its that way round, rather than a reasonable reluctance on the board's part to push the boat out beyond where they're comfortable. Of the players released this week who is in any way surprising is Hendrick and whilst none of us...
