Re: Barrow promoted
Carson was a Barrow lad made good I think. I'm delighted to see them back in the league. Once supporters are allowed back, it should be great for an area that has been dealt a rough hand by it's two favoured sports, football and rugby league, in the past. As for Derbies - I was put right not that l...

This one has got me thinking.
The 8 Bells Putney Bridge (Fulham)
The Devonshire Cat (Sheffield)
The Honest Lawyer (Scunthorpe)
The Queen Adelaide (QPR)
Knott Bar (Manchester)
Ribs of Beef (Norwich)
Edit, how could I forget the Victory Club in South Norwood.

Simple mistake - I doubt most people know what SVR actually is and just think it’s any variable rate mortgage. I only know because of my previous job. Re: Any memories of playing Cambridge Utd
I went there In the very late 70's, or early 80's for a 2-2 draw. Anyone wearing Doc Martens or similar had them confiscated, I saw a couple of lads sat on the crush barriers to keep their feet off the freezing concrete steps. There were allotments behind the away end. And a stand that stopped at t...

Went in 1993 (1-0 win) and 1995 (4-2 win). Can't remember much about the 1993 game apart from having a couple of pints in a pub on the main road. The FA Cup game it appeared that most of the away following were bladdered and the chant of the day was "your sh!t and you ride a bike". Think we had a fe...

I watched 10-15 minutes of 3 games last week, the only team I can remember was BATE who usually qualify for the Europa League.
