RATE THE REF - League Table Update - Friend up one place

Both Michael Oliver and Kevin Friend had excellent performances in the games against Watford (a) and Chelsea (h) respectively. Kevin Friend scored an average of over 90 points in his latest showing, which saw him advance one position up the table. Oliver maintained his current standing and thus, did...

Re: The journey...the progress...the changing feel around Turf Moor

That is true, but let us not forget the inner-strength and mentality of the squad.

Against Chelsea we were without Marney, Hendrick and Defour. On top of that, JBG didn't get a kick... that was a first choice midfield a few weeks ago. Whoever plays, does a job.

So in that case, maybe some of the later generations need to 'feel it' to 'get it'?

I know for a fact that the Plymouth survival game, helped me to appreciate what we had a great deal more.

Great post Keighley.

Still, as part of a Burnley fan's education, I am slightly sorry that I was only four when we played Orient and thus, missed the game. I think it would've been an educational experience.

Well said Tony… The difference is that I don't check any of my messages to you and the other one! In all fairness, I had to edit quite a few of the player names. Audio type is great… You just press the little microphone button next to the space bar and when you've finished rambling, you press 'done'...

Likewise, I teach ten and eleven year olds so finding the balance between sustained and succinct is something I have to do on a daily basis. I must say though, I prefer marking the succinct pieces :-)

CT has been very positive for a good while now: he has to be to keep his more pessimistic brother calm :-) I feel fortunate that I just missed out on the Orient game and thus, with the exception of three relegations (where we had been heavily tipped to go down on all occasions) and the ITV Digital c...

Huncoat calling MDWat a bully? What? How on earth have you come to that conclusion after the lad offered a sound opinion, which backed up? We're talking about a Premier League football team here, not about a Saturday morning, under 8s team. No idea where that came from!

First class performance from our uncompromising left back today. Up and down the pitch, headers, last ditch tackles and calm link play. A performance to remember from Wardy!

Outstanding.

Yep.… He's having a wonderful season, but it wasn't a good header and he should have got a much stronger hand to the ball on Saturday… Likewise at Arsenal, he should have easily retained the ball, rather than conceding the corner, which ultimately led to their winning goal from the spot.

Hendrick's challenge was clumsy but come on, it's a red all day long. Just disappointed it's a three game ban. Thankfully, one of those games will be a cup tie.

Against Lincoln, we're going to be without:

Hendrick
Marney
Defour
Brady

And possibly Barton
