With every England game in the group I got the impression they would have won more easily had they played the same opponents in qualifiers and/or friendlies. Germany was the first game when they really performed well (IMHO). That said, had Muller's shot in the 81st minute been a few inches more accu...

Great first-half. Excellent football played at a breakneck pace. Second-half inevitably less frenetic as Italy looked to hold on to their lead. Three of the main pre-tournament favourites gone (France, Portugal and Belgium).

Over 400 apparently. He played a season in the old Second Division with Wrexham - now that does seem a long time ago - managed by a former Claret.
Wrexham have been out of the EFL for 13 years (after 87 seasons in the League). That's a long time.

Just checked and it was Mel Pejic, his younger brother, who played for Wrexham and Hereford.
They had to be related with a surname like that.

I adored Pirlo as a player. One of the best players I've ever seen. However, it seemed a bad decision on the part of both the club and him. No management experience but that didn't seem to deter Agnelli.
AP will need to start again maybe in Serie B and learn the trade.

Simeone is often said to be the highest paid manager in the world. If it's not him it will be Guardiola.
As for Tripps speaking Spanish, I haven't got a clue. However, he typifies a "Simeone player". He only wants defenders who will run into a brick wall.
