Re: Luton v Burnley.Your verdict.
Good three points at a tough place to go (they peppered us last year after going down to 10 men too, and have done similar in patches against other sides too). We looked like a side that knew how desperate the three points were. The nerves kicked in and it became about winning those first three poin...

Given myself some time after that shocker of a second half yesterday. As bad as some of our performances were, Kompany was the main culprit for that second half. Maybe Maatsen signs a new contract but joins us on loan for the season.
I have know idea and I’m not stressing. We all know we are defensively short / weak and short of striker options considering Jays injury record over recent years, but what will be will be.

I think we've done well to avoid being Luton's first home game in the Premier League, gives our new signings time to gel and really get to grips with playing the way we want to play this year. I agree with the original post too. We have improved the overall squad but not the starting eleven. Having watched the goals back, he’s made a slight misjudgment perhaps with the first by being too late to smother it (but he wasn’t getting the initial ball) and the third he’s unlucky I think in that I believe Watkins (offside position) hampers his vision he takes a step to his right and then reali...

He seemed to be in the right place a lot, but what was he doing against Watkins to let him get a shot in during the second half? Bizarre non-challenge. Not signing Townsend in a way shows a good mindset in where and what we want to achieve. Gnonto would be a no from me. There’s a reason Leeds got him so cheap despite him appearing for the Italian national team, there’s also a reason despite there struggles last year why he spent plenty of time starting as a sub for more than one of their managers. His output of goals and assists from M...

Barnes has been upgraded quite significantly with one of Europe’s most talented young strikers. Harwood-Bellis was great but young and O’Shea looks just as good if not better. Tella has been upgraded to Redmond and (possibly) Daramy. Maatsen the only one there we’ve not replaced yet. You can argue ...

Absolutely no doubt this season is going to be a challenge. I personally don’t see Tella as a a winger so I’m not sure it’s Tella or Townsend. Why is it Flemming in and Twine out? Surely we need options and a squad if we are going to compete in any way. Both would possibly offer some goal threat and both look technically good players.
