I genuinely didn’t know until today that you could use the top half of your leg to play it back and it isn’t against the rules to pick it up.

Re: Burnley v Brentford - Player Ratings
Probably an 8. Alongside the likes of Esteve and Cullen, who I thought were also very good today, without forgetting Vitinho’s excellent contribution (saving a likely goal at one end, which lead to the second). Cullen was very good. I’m thinking what could’ve been if we hadn’t dropped Muric and cas...

Re: Arijanet Muric
Great result. As for Muric, a couple of good saves, a couple of positive actions to deal with corners, and much quicker distribution. All in all a good performance. Negatives, Not sure why he went AWOL for the first half back pass which almost cost us our lead, and several glimpses of last seasons ...

The retake of the quick throw in when the Brentford substitute wasn’t even ready really summed him up.
He missed an absolute stonewall penalty and red card too, but was saved by VAR.

We were cruising for the majority of the second half, but the first substitution seemed to set us back.
Not blaming Amdouni for that, though - he took a yellow card for the team.

It could’ve been different and it should’ve been Muric’s shirt to lose.
If Muric had started the season and either performed well and kept the shirt or played poorly seeing Trafford getting drafted in then nobody would be batting an eyelid.
Shocker from Vinny.

The squad is frightening bloated as it is.
You could quite literally bin 10-15 players and we’d still have a big enough squad.
