Re: O/T Bens toy shop.
It was Benns and I'm sure it was further up than Frydays, closer to Croft Street. Benns moved from their Yorkshire Street shop into the now Frydays shop a few years before closing the business down in 2006. Before they moved in there, 4 St James Street was the long established ironmongers, C F Harg...

Re: Burnley fan Jo Cunningham (formerly Tomlinson) passes away
Touching posts by Tony and Pimlico-Claret and some lovely deserved tributes to a great fun loving and truly dedicated Claret. I first met Jo over twenty years ago when we were both members of the original Clarets email group and we have got together for a half time chat at every home game we’ve both...

Re: Football related Fruit.
As below, this same theme came up many, many years ago in the old Clarets e-mail group :- “Somebody in the group asked the other day if anyone knew of another ten fruits besides Micky Mellon to make a team and offered a drink or two for the answer. Maybe they're out there somewhere but I can't think...

Re: Car advice again! This time security related
Was told by an Auto Electrician it's a more common occurrence than you may think with many makes of car. First thoughts would be there's an electrical fault, but it's generally down to inadvertent pressure on the key's 'Open Button' for just a few seconds when within operating range of the car. Easi...

Chipping met Castle Cement yesterday in the second leg of the Ribblesdale League play-offs, and after a stirring performance won 3:1 on aggregate! Chipping manager Andy Mann said after the game that they’d been in the mix for quite some time but consistency had been a problem. He said they now have ...

Re: ARTICLE: The circus comes to Turf Moor
I'm sure I read somewhere that a circus did once appear at Turf Moor 50 or 60 years ago? Or at least the animals were paraded round the pitch but couldn't find the reference to it. Can’t say it didn’t happen, but as a kid brought up less than a couple of hundred yards away I don’t remember a circus...

Re: Was Claretsmad around
Before CM and CT there was some weird e-group with Prof Moriarty... Are there any others on here that have come on the same journey? Yep, I'm one. T'was quite a large group of Clarets fans who, as well as nattering about all things BFC in a not too serious way, had a good craic discussing totally i...
