Re-Michael Docherty. I will always remember Tommy Docherty being interviewed years ago and being asked why his son had signed for Burnley after being in the the youth team at Chelsea. He replied that he had sent him up there to learn how to play football.

Ah, it's the right wing press again. They must be very naughty boys. Well I fell into that one. In the case of Corbyn, he didn’t need the press to be against him. He would have lost anyway due to his staggering incompetence. Gordon Brown, on the other hand, had the press, who had previously backed ...

I think that you’re wrong to bracket Gordon Brown with Miliband and Corbyn. In my view, a political heavyweight who might just have swung the 2010 election had it not been for the Murdoch press and being unfortunate enough to encounter that hideous woman from Rochdale.

Surely the fact that both Bardsley and Hendrick haven’t followed suit today is a sign that maybe they might have been offered something more than just a short end of season extension.

I seem to remember him coming on as a sub for England, perhaps as a wing back, in the World Cup quarter final against Cameroon in 1990 and making two crucial tackles that prevented the opposition from scoring. Without those tackles, England could have lost the game.
