Re: Graeme Souness - Men's football
Which of these seems more likely? 1. Souness decided that despite the risk of a hysterical social media campaign against him and the resultant possibility of losing his very well paid gig with Sky Sports, that the Chelsea v Spurs match was the perfect occassion for him to attack women's football in...

Re: Early Thoughts On Muric?
All he seemed to do tonight was pass to the back 4 who were standing almost alongside him. Fine as that keeps us in possession, not longing for hoofball.
A couple times though he passed to players who were obviously under pressure which nearly resulted in us losing possession 20 yards from goal.

My point was it's a bit of a useless stat looking forward when we will be 11v11 most games.
We can say we were unlucky but we can't say 'keep that up and we'll win'. Because it's an anomaly.

Unlucky one of those at the end didn't go in. We had good moves but then we got into the final third and lacked penetration. Allowed too much time for them to get back in shape. Two most frustrating things. Muric thinks he's playing rugby and only passed sideways, a couple times putting us in a pick...

BUT never in my wildest dreams did I expect Huddersfield at home on the opening game of the season would be so utterly lackluster. They made it easy for us to look so good at times.

Proven championship players were big signings for us when we were in the Premier League, even then the pick of the bunch were going elsewhere.
We might push the boat out for one but I can't see us getting much joy trying to prize away decent players from teams who are now our peers.
