Even 10 years ago it was obscene.

I used to work with a footballers brother, who told stories of all the young lads thinking they had made it, buying rolexes and flash cars etc.. Then bang released at the end of the season with no club lined up.

As bad as the pitches have been. We have been bowled out for less than 200 in the last 5 innings.

Since 2016 we have been bowled out 5 times in just one session.

Well it looks like (by the small number of posters who have replied) it would be best to carry on like we have been doing. Letting contracts run down and rely on the new owners to find some cash from somewhere to improve the squad.

Tarks and Pope could command fees where we will be required to sell. But why on earth would you sell our best striker and biggest goal threat for £15m? I would sell all 4 forwards if we got decent fees but I don't think we will for Barnes or Jay Rod unfortunately. I personally think we need someone...

It's a hard pitch to bat on, but the balls we have got out to have been straight up and down.

That's the test of this format though. The very best clear their head of the good deliveries and play each one on it's merit.

Broad will be lucky to keep his place after the last Test. Woakes to come in for me or even leave Stone in. He didn't do too badly and is quick enough.
