Re: Burnley - No Gibson recall
For a club like ours that constantly pleads poverty to not want him around the place whilst paying 40k week means he must have done something terrible or have the worst attitude ever. Threadbare squad and we still don’t want him back. Need to get rid ASAP as his stock value is going down. May put m...

Get JBG in then go 442 for the last half hour if we're still in the with a shout.

Re: Cork & Mee our for the season
Last August I thought we would finish 11th and I will stick by that, especially now with our injuries and weak squad. Do the club actually benifit from a higher finish or do the benifts go to the players? I get the impression a good chunk of the extra prize money disappears on bonuses, so not sure ...

We'll still be paying him, he's just been banished up to Boro to train. Probably 40 grand a week that we may as well be flushing down the toilet.

I don't think Boro could afford Gibson even if they stay up. I'd say the likes of Norwich, Watford, Leeds or Villa would be our best hope of getting shut.

But Long keeps signing new contracts with us, so he's clearly happy. It's not that easy trying to find someone good enough to step in and play, but willing to accept unless someone gets injured they're only gonna get to play 2 or 3 cup games a season. The Gibson saga proves that.

The Home office/ECB are already trying to do away with overseas pro's. Why can't they do both? 20 / 20 is generally played in the evening isn't it? Start in a fortnight and include a couple of double-headers on a weekend and 11 games would take you to Sept 12th.
