Re: Toffees vs Clarets Match Thread

Bombing out half the squad that worked, played & fought for each other last season and was so successful is the biggest issue I have. Yes it worked the first season, but it needed to be done then, To try and do the same again this season was just madness Yes, we've had far too much player turnover....

Re: Toffees vs Clarets Match Thread

Well didn't Luton actually sign a couple of players at the start of the season? They did with the object of strengthening the team (Ross Barkley for example),not as investments, which by the way hasn't really worked for us. We had a team in the making last season. Against Arssnal at home we had one...

Again going in 0-0 at half time doesn’t guarantee we draw or win the game come the end of the game does it?

It's more than a tad better than going in one down.
Their finishing is no better than ours, so we give them a goal.

I think you have got that pretty spot on. Take away our abysmal results this season, our discipline is the ultimate sign of sloppiness and you could even argue a lack of professionalism. I know it’s been done to death but all this points to VK being massively out of his depth at this level. The pla...

Luton just have a better togetherness and fight in them. Something that money and VK can't coach with his group of players This is a fair point. Even if that is correct it is moot because we're not spending £8m on Assignon if we go down.
TBF, how many Championship clubs spend £8m on a full back?
And it's very unlikely that Assignon would want to play 2nd tier football regardless of whether we would stump up that sort of fee.

Got to be honest, I've not seen much from Assignon that makes me think he's much if any better in either defence or attack than Vitinho. I'd say Vitinho is a right mid who does his very best when played at right back.
Possibly he'd fit as a right wing-back.

This is why GOOD coaches are worth their weight in gold. Marco Silva tonight made 3 sub changes on the 37 minute when it simply was not going well for Fulham.

And turned defeat into victory, what a coach!!
I don't suppose he had anything to do with them letting in 3 1st half goals.

If you don't want to give away a penalty don't rely on the referee and VAR official to get the most basic of decisions correct.
