Re: Just lacking something
All we were lacking was the right sub at the right time. Not knocking VK, it happens. Maatsen 15 minutes sooner we win. He got behind 3 or 4 times in his cameo. Did Vitinho do it once tonight? Again, it happens, but if it isn’t working, change it. They did, at half time changed the shape. We then ne...

Total domination but needs a plan B tactically not just personnel. The same Dyche at times suffered from. Maatsen should have been sooner, we went stagnant on about 65 tonight, needed that spark sooner. Splitting hairs a bit though. A lack of tempo at times the real problem, gave them chance to dig ...

If we got rid of the Royals what would our identity be? Genuine question I’m not suggesting we should get rid of the royals. Agree Pieters’ agent has ballsed this one up. He has made a lot of dosh over the years, a good few Premier League seasons, played for Holland, and I bet at his age being a part of this Kompany revolution he would have loved it. Now he is feeling a bit “if only”. OK he may sign for West Brom but it i...

I suspect the question was rhetorical and I would probably agree and say Tella, because Southampton fans on the whole rate him better than Walcott and Redmond, he does after all have about 20 PL starts so they have seen plenty of him at the highest level. The answer is the VAR we were promised (as in the Euros) not the VAR we got. No constant stopping the game, refs and linos give decisions as they see them, VAR is only for rare and obvious errors. Not line measuring in millimetres, not incidents like today. It is for things like a really bad tackle ...

It’s bent. It is that simple. Not in the dodgy backhander sense. In the sense that refs know what side their bread is buttered on and cannot risk upsetting the big clubs and the PL decision makers. Would prefer this thread was called Vincent’s decisions. It isn’t factual they were errors and it is too negative against our manager. With each club needing to be on TV 4 times that could be getting the dross out of the way so the title challengers can be on a lot at the sharp end. The way we are playing and with the interest in us worldwide due to Kompany I’d expect us to be on a lot from January.

Ticked loathed because great for us but smaller clubs don't get a look in. Just another way that the bigger squads dominate and the division is almost certain to be the three that came down and one or two others. The rest need a chance, like we did in the PL.
