As long as we give a good account of ourselves and get no major injuries
I'll be fine with whatever the result is.
And we come away from the game proud to be Clarets.
Having said that a 3-1 win would be great!

Re: Match Day Thread v QPR
Just seen highights/goals on Sky Sports.
Got to say three excellent strikes for the goals.
Doesn't seem as if the break has had any adverse affects
and we've still got Zaroury to come back alongside
Twine, Churlinov, Westwood to make their mark.
It's looking good approaching the half way stage.

Re: Sheff U vs Burnley Match Thread
Don't think you can put the blame on Muric albeit Sheff. Utd exploited his weak spot but you could also, at the same time argue that our defence didn't provide enough cover or get sufficient challenges in. We were clearly overrun especially in the second half and the stats don't lie. Utd had 28 shot...

Re: Points From the Sheff U/Rovers/QPR Games?
9 points from those 3 games would put us up to 47 points and
probably about 10 points clear. And still not quite half way through the season!
Can't see that happening so I think 5 points would be fantastic but suspect
we'll lose one of those, draw one and hopefully win one so 4 points for me.

I think it would be great if we could sing 'When you're Smiling' and bring it back as our anthem this season especially as VK and the team have managed to bring back the smiles to most fans this season. We have 2 0r 3 players who've hardly had a game so far so I think VK will try where he can to give them a chance and see what they can do. So unless we have a few injuries to key players I can't see us bringing in any others in the January window. think had we managed to get in Obafemi then we could...

I tipped Cardiff to be one of the surprise teams in the Championship with West Brom, Sheff. United and Norwich up there as favourites for top 4. As many as possible but the main thing is still to be in the mix come the World Cup. So if we're still a few points off the top two the that'll be fine with me. But if you were to push me I'd say 24-26 would hopefully still keep us in the top 4. and not far off the top two. W7 D3 L2 would give us 24.

The most impressive thing for me is how VK and the team have managed to put the smiles back on fans' faces. Given the number of players sold or released (especially when compared with Norwich and Watford) alongside all the new arrivals then for us to be in the top 6 having lost just once in 8 has to be close to as good as we could have hoped for. The usual suspects are up there (Sheff. Utd and Norwich) al...

Have to agree that it wasn't a foul and shouldn't have been given. We need to make it difficult for teams coming to the Turf.
But I expect most teams will be wary of us at the Turf and set out to
hold out against us and catch us on the break.
An early goal (or two) would set us up nicely but a win is important
and will keep us in the mix.
