I remember Ian Wright saying that whenever he had a dry spell goals-wise he would stay behind after training and just repeatedly belt the ball into an empty net from all angles and distances. If that was good enough for Wrighty..a goal-scoring fanatic...I hope Ashley and Woody are doing the same.

Tbf we've had good chances recently but Wood and Barnes have failed to score them. Against Everton, Arsenal, Palace, Sheff u and Wolves plus MK Don's we had golden chances to score more goals but failed. The third episode of The Serpent..which was on BBC1 2 nights ago...was one of the tensest bits of TV drama I've seen in a long time. Excellent.
I've started watching Spiral (French police drama set in Paris) on BBC iPlayer and so far...6 episodes in out of 80+...it's really good stuff.

I always like Keith Allen and thought he was decent in this last night. However overall it just seemed to be another bog-standard formulaic police procedural of the type ITV churn out in their sleep. With the match on tonight I'm not sure I'll be interested enough to watch the rest on catch-up.

The Mark Radcliffe show on 6 this morning has been a fantastic listen for any Bowie fan...lots of reminiscing by many different people and, of course, great music. Strongly recommend listening on catch-up if you have missed it.

Having read the summary it's pretty much what I would have expected. I didn't have access to the interview live but have no objection to this being behind a paywall....you find out everything important soon enough now anyway so can't understand the moaning.

48 hours after playing at Leeds (Sheff U had an extra day to recover), against opposition who must have seen it as the ultimate "must win" game and with McNeill, JBG, JayRod, Cork and then Taylor all injured...the only thing that mattered was 3 points. I was/am very happy.

The whistle hadn't blown though when the keeper came out and flattened Mee. Why on earth wasn't VAR identifying that as a "clear and obvious" mistake by the referee in not seeing it ?? I'm still fuming.

McNeill is a massive miss...spends a lot of time in possession and our main ball carrier. Such a shame he misses this game particularly. Unbelievable clash in styles today and I’m hoping we can somehow grind out a result.

I will be very disappointed if I cant at least get to Greek island at some point. Managed a great week walking in Crete even in 2020 and with the vaccine hopefully coming in the first half of the year I'll be hopeful again.

IMO the directors have been brilliant for a number of years now and especially during the Dyche era. They have run the club well and prudently and as exactly as you would expect custodian/supporters to do. I would never criticise any of them as they've never taken a penny out of the club to my know...

Much nicer than Jagermeister ...more warming and less sweet/sickly imo. A beautiful drink which I have made a few converts too "down South".

Went in an Indian restaurant in St Albans this year and was surprised and delighted to see Benedictine on their spirits menu !

I agree it's one of those names...like Nigel....which make you instantly think the owner of it is likely to be a bit of a buffoon. There has to be a university dissertation on the self-fulfilling nature of giving children these names I think.
