Re: If a flight's overbooked in America - panic

They had to fly 4 employees home - so looked for volunteers but none were forth coming..... This has confused people as normally when this happens they offer free flights to people and there's always someone willing to wait for a few hundred to a thousand bucks. Some are suggesting they didn't offer...

Re: How old were you when....

The Friday after my 18th. Never even tried it beforehand, upim a baby face, nearing 40 now and still get ID'd on a semi regular basis. I got the national ID 18 card, but still once got refused because "there was no way I was 18" that's why I've got the ID' "you could have faked it"..."it's the natio...

Re: What changes would you reverse, if any ??

None.

Don't mind the current subs rule, but would like say, 3 out 7 have to be under 23s and one of your subs has to from those players. Something like that. To encourage academy players to mix with the 1st team and get game time.

Anyone that approves of the idea going to answer this?

Personally I wish we had the same levels of disgust for corporate welfare as we did for state welfare.

Re: Anyone still think we are relegation candidates?

Candidates? I'd say outsiders, but there's no guarantee we won't get sucked back into the relegation struggle. This, if it wasn't for the run of away games against those below us and some tough home games I would say no chance, but easy to go on a poor run in this league. I think we've got to many ...

Re: Are we really that much better than the last time we were in the Premier Leaugue

Yes. Much better,

Apart from Tripps every member of the 1st eleven has been replaced with someone better or playing better than before.

As for our second string. That's far far faaaaaaaaar better.

Re: Nick Clegg. Does he have any credibility left?

Libdems, admittedly go against their stated position on one thing, tution fees and get pilloried for it. Meanwhile, the Tories went against everything ducking thing they promised, (remember no top down reorganisation of the NHS anyone?) and everytime they do, they just went "coalition" and everyone ...

Re: Andre Gray

I'll admit waiver in the "don't think it has what it takes" camp. There's something there for sure, but he does have some flaws, and his biggest assists, his pace and strength and less are so if the PL, you need other things to your game. I also don't like that it means we have Vokes "in the hole" n...

Re: Today's Brexit vote

The only thing the government will care about is letting the financial sector of London continue to trade euros. After that I suspect the gov, wants to stay in the free market - along with all those pesky bendy banana rules - but knows it cannot sell the freedom of movement of people that comes with...

Re: Guaranteed Basic Income for All

Been around as a theory for a long time. There's a lot of benefits to be gained... Would help the aging population as women or men could afford to take time off to raise children Simplifies the welfare system - which would pay for a some of it. Would allow Arts, Culture to flourish as people would h...
