Re: Eurovision
I've now listened to our entry. It seems we've slipped back into trying to enter a song that sounds like one another country would enter into Eurovision. Last year the song sounded like something that comes from the UK, but this is cookie-cutter Europop and historically we've got crap scores when tr...

Roads through Burnley (including past the Turf) are absolutely fine. M65 is just wet. Pavements could be dodgy once the snow freezes overnight tonight.

All my 'leftie' mates think the BBC has a right-wing bias and is just a mouthpiece of the government.
Weird how it works really isn't it... almost is if both sides see the worst in it... almost as if despite everything it does try to be impartial...

You don't think there's even a smidgeon of risk to BBC impartiality when one of it's flagship presenters is essentially a high profile political commentator? I think it would set a dangerous precedent if a sports presenter were sacked because of his criticism of the government in his personal social media. The people who don't like the BBC don't like it because it does its best to be balanced. The broad strokes sound good, but it depends what loopholes will be left. If there are any, you can be sure that a club/owner will find it and use it to take advantage. The devil's in the detail.

I'm assuming Colne Road has some kind of works happening on it given the traffic was backed all up Church Street as far as the Kierby roundabout this morning before I nipped up School Lane.
Or is Colne Road just more busy as people avoid the Eastern Avenue route?
