There was a spell in the early 2000’s where the club at the end of the season had a weekend where teams could hire to play on the turf. Music coming out of the tunnel plus a video of the ‘action’ to purchase afterwards!

Certainly notice a growing trend with some posters constant criticism of McNeil. Maybe if we had any sort of current threat going forward on the opposite flank then all the pressure wouldn’t be on him.

How anyone can give the keeper 3 is beyond me. From memory since 1999 we have let 6 in twice against city 5 at least 5 times and 4 plenty more. He hardly made massive errors on the goals. Lot of drama on this about moving grounds, ticket pricing etc. How about let the new owners tell us of their immediate plans. The two majority shareholders who are clarets and selling to them are obviously confident in how they are going to move the club forward.

Isn’t it around £45m ? Something like that. I can’t think of a team over a similar period in this league who has had a lower net spend....yet some just trot out the same old rubbish about how poor a transfer record SD has. It’s a really strange and lazy argument given the success he has brought us.

That is where it could get interesting with Dyche and his "narrow" target list. We may well be capable of buying a higher quality player whereas Dyche will still be chasing his long term favourites...like he did with Stephens. Article in today’s paper that Dyche has been told all January potential signings (presumably not many anyway and probably from Aldi FC) put on hold......that’ll lighten the mood......
