Re: Transfer embargo
This sort of shite is exactly the type of thing I feared with these owners. It’s simply not good enough or acceptable. Let’s hope it’s put right immediately and that there’s nothing further to worry about. We’ve had a brilliant season thanks to everyone concerned and I would hate for it to become ta...

Re: Taylor Harwood-Bellis
Who would you drop,I think we will try to sign him,but can't see City selling myself Personally I’d drop Ekdal. He’s been mostly brilliant since he’s come in, but is possibly a bit too slow which may be exposed by PL attackers. He also doesn’t have the sort of passing range that Harwood-Bellis has,...

I was absolutely delighted when that wonderful finish hit the back of the net. There was some real skill in that. Now there’s been some fair evaluation of his performance so far in which he has been poor but the need to give him way more time was recognised by most. Some experts in their own bathroo...

Re: Scott Parker on his way out
Crikey. If Parker is classed as a crap player, then there won't be many players out there at all who aren't classed as crap or worse. Maybe a few percent of players have had better careers than him. That's clearly a nonsense statement, then. He's also got two promotions to the PL on his CV as a mana...

Does anybody on this board watch football matches for entertainment and take the attitude anything can happen? More importantly, can't fans just live in the moment. The 200 or so regular posters on this board come across as having very little in their lives except to promote their own personal nega...

Re: Would the current Burnley (right now) WITHOUT any signings stay up in Prem?
Typical Newcastleclaret.
The Championship this year can’t simply be, on the whole, poor. It has to be “abysmal” and made up of the very “worst teams ever”.
Add in the classic “anyone who disagrees with me is x or y” and it’s another full house from the resident man child.

Re: Would the current Burnley (right now) WITHOUT any signings stay up in Prem?
No I think we’d need some stronger and more athletic players if we’re to survive next year, particularly down the spine of the team and certainly in the centre of midfield. We’d also need to find a striker who has all the attributes of a younger Jay Rodriguez. Gyokeres looks the closest on that fron...

If we've no intention of signing him and his loan is for the season then VK is always going to prioritise giving game time to the players he's gonna rely on next year like Foster and Obafemi Of course that's understandable but if we'd played him more he might have given us more of a reason to want ...

I think he’ll be better against teams that give a bit more space to run into. From all the clips I’ve seen his best work in done running at players in the channels and using strength/pace. Obafemi had some nice touches and contributed to our possession game nicely for the first 20 mins, but has started to give the ball away. I'm not sure I like this hybrid role he seems to playing of half striker half right sided forward. Twine has been good on the ball and has looked to play forward....

It’s a great point that PL football is played at much faster speed than Championship football. A point is fine but I don’t like the way we just stop playing around 80 mins into a game if we’re winning it. Wow, that’s a surprising line up to say the least. Definitely didn’t expect Taylor and Cork to be dropped/ rotated.
Good to see Tella on the bench though as it means he’s clearly not done his hamstring as a few people posted on Saturday evening.

Will definitely need a more athletic, defensive type alongside him next season (a younger Cork essentially), but he absolutely has the attributes to be an effective PL player. He’s hugely intelligent, presses immensely, and his short to medium range passing is as good as anyone in the league.
