Re: Derby v Leicester - Who do we want to win ?
why are Leicester fielding a weakened team in the FA Cup - a competition they could realistic aim to win - yet field a full strength team in the European Cup which, realistically, they probably cant?

I just think it's hilarious that Liverpool don't have a goalkeeper ranked in the top 30 of a 20 team division!

Re: How many points from the next five matches?
I'm usually glass half empty when it comes to all things Burnley but after the last season half I really can't understand the pessimism. I see no reason why we can't pick up at least a couple of wins against teams in the bottom 5 - and when was the last time Spurs won at the Turf???

No it wasn't. That was a red all day long too. As we see it's always easier sending a Burnley player off than a Spurs player. Still doesn't mean Hendrick's wasn't a red today. We DO just want some consistency though! Haven't seen the incident yet but we have had similar calls go in our favour v Cit...

it was the FA's decision, the bbc wanted to show lincoln after they won the replay but the FA wouldn't let them (they'd already chosen the utd game). its something to do with selling the rights abroad, they want maintain the interest of (and income from) overseas audiences, hence they want utd or s...

Linesman bang in line with play - should see offside. Ref miles from incident looking through a crowd of players. I know it's not a total excuse, but they've had really bad luck with injuries. If we'd lost as many as them we'd be struggling also. Good for us though :) I think the performance of a predominantly second string Burnley last night suggests otherwise. At least any team fielded by Dyche would show so...

As comfortable a victory as I've seen in a long time. I actually thought Sunderland were worse than they were in the 4-1 - never showed any interest in trying o score a goal.
Thought we controlled the game very well, but would like to have seen us being a bit more clinical.

I am another in the "never back your own team" camp but I have been telling anyone who'll listen that having a tenner on us in every home game is a great way to make money. Never a pen for me. It's a little bit clumsy but Darikwa doesn't even make challenge. Anywhere else on the pitch Defoe would stand his ground and shield ball - he just felt a bit of contact and fell over.

That'll be 55 consecutive now, Cleveleys - every one since 2004 I believe. What really annoys me about this "weakened teams" business is the totally knee-jerk, unthinking nature of it. It seems to have become such a powerful meem in football that managers just do it automatically. Look at Bournemout...

I think in this day and age, status and image are all important. So being in the EPL is the be all and end all. In 2013 Wigan Athletic won the FA Cup and got relegated the same season. I actually think Heaton to Liverpool is a no-brainer from their point of view. I judge keepers not so much by how many great saves they make, but how few "soft" goals they concede and how few outright howlers they commit. Can anyone think of a real howler that Heaton has made since he's been with us...

I don't go in for squad rotation for the sake of it, but there does seem to be a reluctance to change things even when its warranted.
